Set up firup in five steps
You need about five minutes. You never have to type on the TV: the typing happens on your phone or computer.
1. Install firup
Open the downloads page and choose your device: Windows 10 or 11, Android TV / Google TV, or an Android phone. Every build is the same version.
2. Sign in
Create a free account on the account page. The account keeps your setup, addons and progress in sync on every device you sign in on.
3. Link your TV
- Open firup on the TV and choose Sign in.
- Scan the QR code with your phone. Or open the link page on any device and enter the code shown on the TV.
- Confirm. The TV is now signed in and shows up under your devices on the account page.
Codes expire after a few minutes. If one stops working, ask the TV for a new one.
4. Pick a preset
A preset decides which sources are tried first. Not sure? Choose Balanced. The six presets are Best quality, Balanced, Data saver, 4K HDR home theater, Phone / small files and Anime. You can change it at any time on the Setup page. See Filters explained for what each one does.
5. Add addons
Addons supply the catalogs and sources that fill your Board. On the Setup page, paste the address of an addon you are allowed to use. Firup checks it, then saves it to your account and your TV picks it up on its next sync. Addon addresses must start with https://.
Firup does not provide addons. Supporter never unlocks any title, stream or addon.
What to expect
When these steps are done, open firup on your TV and your rows appear on the Board, for example Big Buck Bunny, Sintel or Tears of Steel if you added a source of open movies. If the Board is empty, see Troubleshooting.
